Trust Your Intuition

In 2006, I needed to find my daughter’s birth certificate, as we needed to apply for her passport. I couldn’t find it anywhere! After weeks of looking, I went into meditation and asked where the birth certificate was.
The answer that I got was to look in my linen closet, which was literally 10 feet away from the chair where I was. Naturally, I disregarded the message, thinking who puts a passport in the linen closet? A few times I again meditated on it, always getting the same message, to look in the linen closet.
After a couple more weeks, I sent away for a duplicate passport, costing me a fair amount of $ and time. After the check was mailed and cashed, I was looking in the linen closet for something, and THERE IT WAS…..If I’d trusted my intuition, I would have saved myself anxiety, time and money. This is a great example on how we trust our logic and intellect more than our intuition. I always use this example in my meditation classes, to trust your intuition and not try to “logic it out”.
