Unusual Happenings in Florida

In December 2022, I went to Florida to visit with my family for a couple of weeks.  Prior to Christmas, I was alone at the kitchen table, when I heard a child laugh loudly, directly in back of me.  I spun around, and of course, there was nobody there.  I walked around the house looking for someone, as the laughter was so pronounced and out of the blue.  Then, I realized that I’d just imagined it.

I went back to the table, and resumed my project.  Sure enough, after a few minutes, I heard the laughter again! It was the same sort of laugh, and directly in back of me, in the same spot that it was at before.  When I mentioned it to my son in law later on, he reacted strongly, saying that he often heard laughter and kids around the house.

A few days later, I was standing at the same spot, facing the table again.  I felt the presence of something walking in back of me.  It wasn’t malevolent, and I didn’t hear anything at that time.  There wasn’t anyone physically there, but I sensed their presence.

One night, I was sleeping in the kids room, when the TV turned on.  Nobody was awake in the bedroom, and the remote was across the room.  Another night, the light in the bedroom automatically turned on, while the kids were sleeping.  The light woke me up.

A few days after that, we rented an Airbnb and stayed there for about a week.  I slept in a room with the kids, and got to bed after they were asleep. I turned off the nightstand table lights, and got into bed.  About 5 minutes later, a light strobed from a lamp across the room. It looked like a laser green spinning light, with some sort of geometric pattern. It was shocking as it was so brilliant and unexpected.  This lamp has 5 different bulbs that you can angle around, and it was turned off when I entered the room.

I walked over and just pulled the plug out of the wall, since that lamp wasn’t even turned on.  I figured that was it, and got back into bed.  I was almost asleep, when the lamp strobed on again with the same green light!!  There was no electricity connected to the lamp at all.  I took the lamp out of the room and put it elsewhere, as I didn’t want any disturbances.  Unfortunately, I didn’t think to grab my phone to get a picture of it.

Although these are minor unusual happenings, they’re a good example of what you can notice when you’re paying attention.
