Padre Pio Comes to Life
By Sue Greenwald
Padre Pio was a Catholic Saint, known for his spiritual abilities, his love for the people, and his healing abilities. He was a catholic priest who later became a Catholic Saint, as he was incorruptible when he died. For those that don’t know, incorruptible means that the body doesn’t decay and degrade, which happens with saints, certain gurus, and other highly spiritual beings.
Padre Pio was not just another religious saint; he had lots of spiritual abilities. He could bilocate, appearing to multiple people simultaneously when they needed him. His specialty was performing healing miracles, especially with children. He became beloved by the people for his simple lifestyle and the loving way he healed the people. He also had Stigmata, where his hands would bleed in the places that Christ was supposed to have been nailed to the cross. The Catholic church wanted to “kick him out” of the order, but they didn’t want to lose credibility with the people, so he stayed.
My first yoga studio was about 5 miles from the Padre Pio center in Barto, PA. This center is on a beautiful piece of land, with landscaping, meditation spots, and statues of the Archangels all over. I created a “field trip” for those from the studio, and we went to the Padre Pio Center for a day to do our own tour and meditations. This was in 2012 or maybe 2013.
The entire Padre Pio center has a very high and beautiful vibration. It’s more spiritual than religious. We did a tour of all of the statues throughout the grounds and did various group meditations. We were allowed to hold the gloves that Padre Pio had worn during Stigmata, and I could feel the energy blasting from them. One of the attendees channeled messages from the angels throughout our tour, and we learned so much in a fun way!
In the chapel, there’s a life size statue of Padre Pio. My friend Stacey and I were holding its hands and thinking about our intentions, kind of meditating. We each held the statues hands and closed our eyes. It felt like something moved, so I opened my eyes. I looked up, and….the statue had come to life! The face was real flesh, the hands were real, and the statue rocked back & forth a bit. The color and texture of the skin on his face was lifelike, not the material that the statue was made of. Stacey and I looked at each other in shock!
I’m not sure if we spoke to each other or not. But we we a little surprised, to say the least! We looked back to find that the statue had turned back into a statue.
I closed my eyes again and waited a bit, and eventually it happened again. But my reaction of excitement and looking around “disrupted the moment”. The statue also rocked back and forth toward the end. I later learned that we weren’t the first that had experienced the statue moving. Others had a similar experience.
In subsequent years, I would go back to the Padre Pio center occasionally to meditate and write, but I never had the statue come to life again. I’d go back and talk to it, but it just remained a statue.
To me, this confirmed that consciousness is in every object, organic or inanimate!
