An Intense Activation

I was hosting a spiritual retreat in Sedona. On the last day we went to a place called Shamans Cave. Back then it was a “secret” cave, hard to find and reachable only by rough, rustic roads. It took me a whole week of trying to locate it (this was before GPS and apps like AllTrails). The cave felt sacred, a place where local Native leaders once convened with the Star Nations, but its energy was somewhat depleted. Over the years people had treated it less reverently: there was vandalism and visitors took stones away.

We did a ceremony to lift the cave’s energy. My daughter led the meditation and spoke with many of the crystal beings and extraterrestrials. We were told to dance, so we danced barefoot on the cold cave floor. Being there with my small group of friends felt deeply fulfilling. I’ve long heard that there are UFOs tucked under many of the rocks around Sedona, and that the Native peoples often worked with the Star Nations.

Because getting to the cave was difficult and I’d planned to stay there most of the day, I felt disappointed when the women wanted to leave for last-day souvenir shopping. Reluctantly I took them to Tlaquepaque, the outdoor shopping and dining area, pointed them in the right direction, and wandered off by myself. I was upset about leaving the cave too soon, and walked through a gallery almost without looking.

Then I turned a corner and saw a painting that stopped me cold. I couldn’t form a sentence; I was in shock. The artist, Bearcloud, happened to be there. A docent explained the painting and several surrounding works that expanded on the main image. I called my friends and my daughter to come see it immediately. My friends reacted exactly as I had — wide-eyed and stunned — while my daughter hung back and laughed at our astonishment.

The painting is called “The Alignment.” It shows a planet with three moons aligning. I was told that when those moons align they light up and activate sacred sites across the galaxy. The larger image, what I think of as a depiction of a home planet, includes a pyramid complex and giant statues that function like databases of all knowledge. You stand before the statues and the information you request downloads into you. Another piece within the series showed where creation occurs.

At that moment my friends and I received a very profound activation. Our energy expanded dramatically! One of my friends bought the painting and hung it in the reception area of my yoga studio so others could experience its presence. People would either walk right past it or stop and study it deeply. Since then, I’ve talked several times with Bearcloud about that painting and hope someday to own a copy.

An activation is when an experience rapidly expands your consciousness — it wakes something up at the cellular level and speaks to cellular memory. Activations can’t be planned or controlled, but I’ve had many of them over the last twenty years, and they’ve given me an ongoing “inner knowing.” It’s an exciting and powerful feeling.
