A Surreal Experience

Back in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, I travelled from CT to Philly to attend a once in a lifetime 'Drive-In Live Concert' experience. After the show, my friend and I traveled back to our hotel and thought it would be a good idea to order a Philly Cheesesteak delivery since we were in Philly.

As we waited for our food to be delivered, we sat in my car and began noticing a bunch of large deer traveling through the parking lot. We talked about how weird it was to see that many deer suddenly in a busy area, but then again, it was late so maybe it wasn't so weird. As we spoke about how weird everything felt, all of a sudden, this strange animal hopped like a kangaroo right in front of us.

My friend was brave enough to get out of the car and snap this picture. Some say it was a rabid coyote, but didn't move like any coyote I've ever seen!

Shortly after witnessing this, the guy delivering our food arrived. We explained to him what we just saw, and then he asked where we were from and if we knew where we were. He then explained that we were in the naval shipyard area where the Philadelphia Experiment occurred in 1943. I had no idea about this, but definitely went on a deep dive after hearing that. This could certainly explain why everything felt so strange there.
