A Crowded Funeral Service

In spring of 2025, I attended a funeral service for a great friend I had worked with. He was a funny guy and twice he asked if I would attend his funeral service when he died. Of course, I said I would, but also questioned why he asked me that.

When it came time for his funeral service, I kept my word, taking some time off of work to attend his service. I attended with another coworker. The service was jam packed to the point where there weren't any seats. There wasn't anywhere to stand either so we made our way outside to discuss our plan of what to do.

We decided that we wouldn't hear the service from outside but we would go back in to pay our last respects and see if there was a program. A women came out and asked if we wanted to stay for the service, because there were 2 seats right in front if we wanted a seat. Those seats were not available when we had just walked through!

I am certain that my friend opened those two seats up for us to be sure that I kept my promise and stayed for his service. :) He would definitely do something like that!!!! I could hear him now....."Oh no, she's not leaving yet!"
