Wrapped By The Angels
By Sue Greenwald
The Townhouse that I lived in had a very cool retro design, with multiple floors connected by solid open tread wooden stairs. The stairs had a railing on the inside, so they were very open. Although they very modern looking, the stairs weren’t safe, and I wondered why the builder would create them the way they did. In the Fall of 2017, I finally had a run in with the stairs. One day, while in a hurry, I slipped.
Somehow, my body was totally airborne. It seemed like time slowed down as this fall occurred. I heard my jaw snap shut and heard my head SLAM against the edge of the wooden stair. I was filled with adrenaline, and when I heard those sounds, I knew that I’d be seriously hurt, possibly killed. I physically heard those sounds, they weren’t imagined. My thoughts seemed to move really quickly, and time moved slowly. Laughing to myself as I write this, it seems like a whole list of thoughts were running through my head in a split second…
In the air, I worried about getting help, as I lived alone. While I was airborne, I also felt like something was gently wrapping me up. After I landed, I was AMAZED. I laid on the stairs for a while, shaking, assessing the damage. I was shocked to be alive and conscious. The most amazing thing was that there was literally no injury to my head whatsoever! The only injuries that I had were a deep bruise on my upper arm, and a twist of my knee.
I felt like I’d been wrapped up and saved by the angels. I think that I felt the angels wrapping me up like a taco. My intuition told me that this fall would have been fatal, and that I’d been saved, possibly even put into a different timeline. Unfortunately, I did mess my knee up during that fall, and it was giving me a little trouble beforehand. I am lucky to be walking around on the planet, and intend to have the knee fully healed very soon.
